An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is a documented inspection of a property's fixed electrical installation. It checks consumer units, circuits, sockets and earthing against BS 7671, then issues a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory verdict with any C1/C2/C3 codes for remedial work. In Northern Ireland every privately rented home must hold a valid EICR by law, renewed at least every 5 years; owner-occupied homes are usually inspected every 10 years.
A full house rewire depends on the size of the property and the scope of work. Most domestic rewires take 5–10 working days and include a new consumer unit, BS 7671-compliant cabling and certification. We give you a free, fixed written quote before any work starts. No planning permission is required for a standard home EV charger installation in Northern Ireland provided the unit is under 0.2m³ and not facing a road. Listed buildings and conservation areas may need consent. Installations must be notified under the relevant building regulations and completed by a competent person.
